I've fished with bnm my whole life. They make the best crappie rod in my opinion and there a ms based company. It's a no brainer. The pst will allow you to bulk it up and fish some heavier weights, the bgjp is probably the best all around tourney rod out there that allows u to push light weight singles or medium weight doubles, or the Capps and Coleman for light weight fishing.

Depends on what your doing but as a couple have said the BGJPs are the best. Capps and Coleman have their signature series but they use the BGJPs 99% of the time.
i use BnM 16' PSTs with Capps and Coleman tips. i love them. Nice backbone with super sensitive tips can detect the slightest bites. Lance at Grizzly will swap the tips out for ya. i tried ordering the Southern Crappie but they were back ordered for about 4 months.
Southern crappie had rods in stock last week..I just orders from him
I use a set of PST's with the C&C tips on them also. Nice combo that is similar to all the hype about sensitive tip/ lots of backbone. I like my BGJP's better this time of year. I might beef up the backbone in late spring when I start power trolling.Quote:

Not trying to hijack the thread but which of these recommendations would be best for improving hookups in super shallow water. My problem this time of year is not really detecting light strikes cause they seem to hammer it when on the beds. I need something that gives up front so I can "load" the rod as I am getting it out of the rack and setting the hook when I have only 12 inches of line between tip and the lip.
