You can. They're long lining all year nowadays. You can push them as fast or slow as you want to go. Need at least 1mph for them to wobble enough I would think. Maybe not tho. Most long liners go around 1 mph more or less. My new partner caught his best fish at Okatibbee pushing cranks and jigs a few weeks ago.Quote:

Also have a set of 18ft denali, Havent tried them yet for pushing but I am thinkin they will do the job as well.
Due in anytime! Pictures are of 18' rods pushing 3 oz weights with 300 bandits. 2 of the rods were prototypes, 2 rods had the B n M info on the rod. I'm supposed to know the day they arrive, I'm waiting on some 16's and 18's myself.Quote:

I use either 2 or 3 oz weights depending on conditions & speed. I sometimes also use a 1 oz weight on my rear pushing rod to help separate my baits. I also use rods from 8 - 14 ft. length to separate the baits. Any crankbaits will work, I use Arkies & Bandits mostly because I buy them for pulling cranks, but also use Bomber & others for pushing, even some cheaper models if they run true. I haven't use lipless cranks but they should work fine. I use them mostly for casting. The only problem I see with them is they sink if you have to stop where the others float & won't when you stop.
