Fas Snap or loop knot. I used to tie direct and readjust the jig on the knot every time.
I've seen the V that the tag leaves on a loop knot catch trash ALOT of times. I'm stuck on what's worked for me over the years too. I tie directly to the jig. I learned about a Davy knot from fly fishermen and I have begun using it more and more but still not 100 % converted.
Directly to the jig for me I tried the slater fast snaps one time and they just wasn't for me I say use what you got confidence in and just stick it in there
Yep, Donnie I think that is probably the best advice
I agree with Donnie , rig what works for you.

I used to put the line through (1x). then take jig and loop over main line (creates a loop .Put the jig through the loop ,wet and cinch down . Since then I have seen several variations of loop knots . Go to u-tube and type in Huckabee loop knot . This one I like .
I use The MirrOlure Knot.
I've always tied direct with a cinch knot 8 lb Mr. Crappie high vis line (green color) it will fade but helps a blind fella like me. I'd think adding a snap is just something else to get hung on and change a more natural appearance. Everybody has their preference. Very rare I have a fish break off. Might lose a jig in the brush but my thoughts are if you are single polling and never lose a jig, you might not be where fish are. :)
