My last boat was a G3 1860, and I had on all 4 runners the 6" composite decking. These were screwed down to a 2x6 for support. It prevented the hull from freezing to the runners during duck season, helped loading and unloading. I put the grooves faced up, still slick but not so that you could not do it by yourself. Allowed the watter to run right off.Quote:

I have seen pvc covered runners but this was pvc pipe.
