    Default Need help pushing cranks

I have trolled for 20 years but never crankbaits and have no idea how. I would like to push them as opposed to pulling them. I need all the info I can get on weight size speed how to rig what color what poles. Basically any and everything will help. Thanks in advance

Crappie Max Pole, ScottV 3oz pushing weights, Chart from Arkie website or from ScottV when you order weights from him, 3 or 4 hundred cranks from the Arkie website (220s and 350s), and time in the seat. In a nutshell that's it, the only thing missing is get in someone's boat that does this and spend a day or two with them, cut the learning curve down tremedously. Also, don't limit yourself to just pushing, some days it does great and some days pulling works best.
    Good luck!

And you can pull and push at same time and let the fish tell you what they like best for that day.

I use three oz weights that I buy from ScottV....adjust your speed so you have no more than a 45 degree line angle. Here is the depth chart. Name: Screenshot_2015-05-30-08-04-55_resized.png

Pushing or pulling can be addictive and will get into your pocket pretty good too. Because once you buy one crankbait and start catching fish with it you will want at least 2 of every color that Arkie and Bandit makes. Then the rods you have been using won't be good enough anymore and you will go out and buy 8 new rods and if you buy 8 new rods you will need 8 new reels and if you are going to buy new reels you will get line counters reels. Then you will get thinking that you need some planner boards so you can spread them out better when you're pulling. I won't even talk about the new 36V TM and the golf cart batteries you will want
I think that I may have a problem and maybe could use a trip to rehab to help me overcome this addiction

    Kenja,
I have come up with a cranking addiction program but it was bought from me by Arkie, Minn Kota, Minn Kota, US Battery and Crappie Maxx poles, have my doubt it will ever be made available to the public.
