    Default Interference on sonar

I am sure this has been covered before but I am somewhat new here and missed it. I have a Lowrance Hook 7 on the bow of my Ranger 518 and a Lowrance HDS Gen 3 , 9" unit at my console. Whenever the trolling motor, (Motorguide xi5, 80 lb, 24v) is running I have noise on my bow unit, not my console unit. The noise is proportional to the speed I run the trolling motor. Any ideas.

Buy a Hummingbird power cord with the noise suppressor built in it. Cut the ends off and wire it on the power cord of your Lowrance. Make sure you connect it with the end going to the fish finder going into your unit. I've heard they work better that way. That's what I did to mine.
