Fishing license expires?
Here in KY our license all expire at the end of February. It is my understanding that in MS it is good for one year from the day you purchase it. If you got it on 7/1/16 it is good until 7/1/17. Am I correct and that is the way it works?

A lot of variables there. A resident 16-64 may purchase a yearly freshwater license which would in your scenario expire at midnight 6/30/17 and would not be good 7/1/17. Residents may also purchase a 3 day or a lifetime if they have been domiciled in the state for at least 18 months before the purchase. Another license for saltwater would be required. Old geezers have other rules but I wouldn't know about those.

Us geezers over 65 do not have to have a license any longer but, there is a license, I think it was $5 for a lifetime that keeps us on the roles for getting taxes back from the Feds to help with our wildlife efforts. There also is a geezer life time launching fee for the COE lakes for $20, I think, so you no longer have to pay launching fees. Just one of the VERY FEW things that are good about getting old.
