Guys read my original post...tell me how you would start out
They told you how they start. They do not use all of the same on all poles. They put a mixture on, a couple with straight minnows and some with teasers and some with jigs and jigs with minnows. When you start getting bites then change most to what they prefer. Nobody can tell you how they start every time. To many variables to consider like water color. Winds current, trash on water. Sometimes you may start out to tight line and get to the lake and find out the wind is blowing a lot harder than was called for. Then it is probably best to pull jigs. I always carry both set of rods when I go that way I am not stuck with one technique. I hope that answers your question. There is nothing set in stone when it comes to crappie fishing. You have got to be versitable.
