I agree. Only tourneys this will affect will be the pro tourneys if they schedule on the same dates (which has already happened). Most of the guys fishing the Fruit Jar, and the MCC will only fish the local events. Not many of the local guys and gals spend the time or money chasing the pros around with their sponsor money. It's hard for a working guy, even the mom and pop self employed to afford them-self that much free time away from their job or business.

From what I've seen of the pro crappie tourneys I don't see how anyone could fish the "circuit" without a sponsor. The purses are pitifully small, certainly no way to make a living. Hat's off to any that do!

I think for me to fish the the ACT tournament say at Grenada Lake, it cost me around $ $700 dollars or so. Lodging, eats, gas for boat and truck, half of entrance fee, ramp fees, minnows. I would have to place in the lower top 10 to break even, I think.
I don't fish the tournaments, I live to far in left field [ N. Ar. ] to make the drive.
It is hard for me to see 100 boats paying that kind of entrance fee's to reach their advertised pay outs. I'm a small thinker I guess...:twocents

This ACT is going to be tough at the best for most of the folks to fish. The established clubs will win out for sure. Looking at the ACT rules teams would have to skip tournaments they been fishing a long time. 100 boats is wishful thinking.

I don't see how they expect to have a 100 boats, much less 100 boats to qualify for a championship. Looking at the rules an active guide can't fish these tourneys, that eliminates a bunch at each lake. The Grenada Tourney may be an exception this spring, a March 10th date is way early and the 60 day thing is not much of an obstical that time of the year. Will consider it after the first of the year and decide, but Grenada is most likely the only one I would even consider. Also I am pretty sure the 10th of March is the same date as the Crappie Masters at Washington.

What is this "60 day thing" you speak of? Anyhow, I also can't see 100 boats, maybe I'm wrong, hope I am. If they are competing with another club on the same weekend...forgetaboutit

You can't guide or hire a guide on the lake the tourney is held at 60 days prior to the event.

Can pro guides fish? Seems like this is the type tournament they should be able to fish...

Looks like they can fish just can't guide or fish on the tourney like during the 60 day dead period before the tournament. Say tourney was on Grenada that would knock a lot of guys out. Would cost them more in missed guide trips than they would make if they won the tourney.
