How deep you catching them? I've heard in real deep water you need to slap them on the side when putting them back in the water. Something about them coming to surface to quick and having air trapped in their air bladder. Causes them to float.. slapping back in makes them exhale that trapped air.

13 ft or so. I am not sure that I want to fizz them. Figure it can't be good for them. I would slap a few though!!
