Evenin y'all. I will be passing through central MS on my way to visit some friends west of littlerock this weekend and would like to stop by a good bait shop and maybe pick up a few things and stretch my legs a bit. I go right through batesville and Sardis on the souther route I take. Anywhere worth stopping for a few?

Sounds like he will be crossing the river at Helena, if so Southaven is a bit out of the way. Sorry, don't know of any large tackle stores down that way. They have a few mom and pop shops though.
If you go across at Memphis you got sportsman's in Southaven like windstone said and got the big Bass Pro Pyramid right by the Hernando Desoto bridge in downtown Memphis.

Thanks y'all. I should've been more specific in my route. Yes snubbys, I cross at Helena when I go through that route, just like the drive better for some reason. Sometimes we go through Memphis way or even through and cross down at there at Greenville.

A few years ago I made a trip to Johnson City, TN. I went online and found all the sporting good stores, bait shops and walmarts along the way.
Back then walmart would reduce their clearance items to almost nothing. I made all the stops to and from. My truck was loaded with what I found.
Now, if an item was $3.99 they will reduce it to $3.50 or as low as $3. It will sit in clearance at that price forever. Not like it use to be.
There is a place that just opened on hwy 6 east just outside of town in batesville called crappie depot. I have not been in there yet so couldn't tell ya if it's worth a stop.
