Reese Guide. I catch a lot of long nose gar on Bankhead lake. Both spider riggin and pulling cranks. They can be aggravating at times.
My ole granny used to wedge a stick up and down in one's mouth and drop them back in. just saying!
Had a friend hook one thursday on a cb. He was trying to remove the bait and it flopped. Put the bait in the top of his wrist. Then it flopped again and pulled the bait out with a 2 inch tear. And broke the line and got the cb. Ran into him at the landing. He said it even spurted until he iced it. Man it was a bloody mess in his boat. He fished for 2 hours after this. He tried texting my SIL since he knew we were close, but it would not go. At the landing they both admitted not having any first aid stuff in either boat. Keep some first aid in the boat guys. He was lucky. We suggested he go to the emergency room , but he didn't.
Reese that dude on a crank. Them trebles are a pain to get out them hard mouthed dudes.
Knock Him Out John! Knock Him Out, This thing is about to Kill Me!!
Lost a brand new Bandit last week to one. Fought him for seemed like 30 minuets. When he got tired of me, he just took off with my bait. DP
