    Default Misidentification


    While fishing for bream at Davis Lake yesterday, I caught two fish I had never seen before...I thought they were walleye....cant find where they were stocked.. Did find rainbow trout???? What did I catch..what are the regulations? I have never seen either fish

    MDWFP website says there are walleye in Davis Lake, no length limit and a creel limit of 1.. so dunno, got any pics of the fish in question?

    They have them in Lamar Bruce also.....at Lamar I dont think you can keep any at this time. They have teeth so dont lip them. Dont think you will find rainbow trout there.....water too dirty and not cold enough. You would know one tho by the pink rainbow stripe down the sides.

    That's what I thought..saw on the web. Mention of rainbow trout a couple of times..dont believe that..no pictures...fish were biting too fast..Grand Daughter kept me busy.
