A bit less of an adventure but we trolled up some Spanish mackerel around the Fort Morgan rigs earlier this week. We hooked up a couple of kings but they broke off.

The highlight for my son was getting to drive the boat (and catching a shark). The deck hand wasn't so pleased with the shark.

I've been called crazy a few times in my life and I'll accept that, but going out there with one outboard is stupid.... We had a pair of 225's.... Can't see the other one in the pic... Lol
I was always a twin outboard guy myself. In my big triton I had them install separate fuel tanks too, one for each engine. Nothing like a little redundancy for peace of mind. I used to guide offshore blue water trips and I know too well how quickly the seas can build when your not paying attention. Of course I ran a 54' Hatteras. Great trip, and great catch!
