Think he said a company rep told him that was the problem, he needed to use a net on those big hawgs in Nada lake.. Lol. I'm glad so many are coming forth in the defense of the pst rods. I bought 8 new rods this year and so far I'm very pleased with using them spider rigging, I was worried I needed to buy new rods to pull cranks with..
Straight from the BnM office in West Point Ms and I agree with you about more backbone but in 6 years I have only broke one Pinnacle and that was closing the rod box lid on it, in the same amount of time fishing with PSTs very limited, mostly when in the boat with someone else and when I owned them I have broke at least 6 tips, time on the Pinnacle is well over 1000 fold.
Snubby's, you will be fine and they ship tips out pretty quick.
By the way, the tip I broke before calling was brand new out of the package and was broke on a 9 inch, maybe, Okatibee crappy not Grenada slab.
Yeah I've had to order some already, broke three tips falling over on them in the boat. I've swung a few 13" and up in the boat with my 16 & 12 footers (I usually use a net). If I broke a rod tip on a 9" crappie and the manufacturer told me I should have used a net I would be a little sore as well, especially with a brand new rod.
I was fishing with a buddy last year and broke a pst mid pole just reeling in a small fish. B&m replaced the pole for bc it was new.
Who has the firecast in 12 ft poles.

I got mine from garret outdoors in dyer tn. But think grizzly was them also.
Grizzly does have them
I `ve only broke one tip in 6yrs using pst`s ,here on ky lake we dont have missipi size fish and i swing them in the boat most of the time and hardly ever use a net when fishing alone:crazy:
