    Default Butla done?

i have been doing real good on butla and getting some real nice slabs. They are calling for another 4 inches of rain. If that happens I think you can forget butla the fish won't move in again and the water be too high to get at the fish. What yall thing. I haven't moved boat in 2 weeks. All my fish are wading.

If we get any rain to speak of it's going to top over the emergency spill way. Corps can't control that. How much more it spreads for how long who knows. If we get 4 inches it's for sure going to top over and I'm betting corps starts rolling some water out the spillway. When she tops over the emergency and they don't open the gates it most likely going to wash out the road at the low water bridge like it did a few years ago. Really don't think water will stay up that long before it is back to where it is now at least. Got plenty of time to catch them wading fish you been catching.

I was talking to Scoot and June about this last night. If the road washes out again they won't rebuild it. Years ago they built a bridge across the overflow. A road is being built across the model airplane field to the bridge on the north end. It was gravel the last time I was through the area.

Problem is, last time I talked to them the new road would not be completed until sometime this fall. And with the bridge closed on 51 lots of people are having to use that rd to get to memphis.

So if we have another flood like we had in 2011 the only roads to travel north and south across Coldwater River would be I-55 and Hwy. 61? I don't remember going over there in May 2011, how did it effect the scenic route (301, 304) going from Eudora to Arkabulta Road?

I currently use 305 down to 306 to go south side of the lake and 304 over to 301 to get to the north side. That 51 being shutdown for two years will cause some people a lot of trouble over there. It has to be done, that bridge has been in bad shape for a while now.

I dont think the rain will hurt you, as it rises they will move on up and when it starts to fall they will move out. Plan on fishing in the morning, I dont believe nuttin the weather liars say and their 4 inches may very well be an inch or 10 inches!!!!!!

When I went to Southaven today I noticed that MDOT crews were working under the I55 bridges over Hickahala Creek. Bulldozer was pushing dirt around under the bridges. Hope it is only precautionary work.
