Best thing to do if you were to have to defend yourself is keep your yap shut and go on about your business. Grenada is not part of the gator season. I only know of 3 here, 2 bigger ones that were removed down around the dam, one at the emergency spillway and the other at the tennis courts below the dam. The 3rd one I caught in the city limits of Coffeeville 10 years ago and carried him to the National Forrest and released him in one of the watersheds out there per the Game and Fish recomendation. He was only 4 foot long but with his mouth and front legs taped he could almost get out of the bed of a F250 just using his rear legs and tail. When I released him he was just as calm as could be, laid him on the ramp and cut the tape from around his mouth and while holding it shut we cut his front legs loose. When we let him go he ran down the ramp and swam off, fished that pond many times after that but never saw him again.

Yes sir, just a little humor.. my chances of seeing a gator in grenada lake is about as good as hitting the lottery. And I'm aware of the no gator season here, you would go hungry and broke hunting them this far north. Snakes on the other hand I remember a few in and around the lake, that be what I look out for... Lol

Too many snakes so you really can't enjoy it... What about Enid anything new?
