    Default SARDIS SPILLWAY FISHING REPORT

Got to the spillway around 9am to try catfishing and meet son in law with grandson. The only fish I caught was an 8 inch shad in my bait basket. I was lucky to catch him after watching three more folks trying to get bait. Seems like if there are no shad there aren't any other fish either.

Did hear of a 22 inch crappie that was caught last october from a nice fellow from Senatobia. I figured my feelings and intelligence were hurt enough so I left after hearing that. Glad I didn't trip on the steps on the way up.

Had nice visit with family on a beautiful day.

I heard it was the biggest the spillway had seen in a while. That was before the weir was built.
