Default Southern Crappie Heavy Action Poles

I got a couple of the new crankbait poles from Ed Duke and tested them out today. This was after catching my limit at Okatibbee using Ed's spider rigging poles with jigs. The crankin poles are 14' and have more backbone than a 14' PST. They also have a sensitive enough tip to where you could use them spider rigging when using 1 oz or more weight. This first pic is a 14' PST on the left and 14' Southern Crappie on the right. I'm pushing a Bandit 300 at 1.8 mph with both rod tips 1 ft from the surface. I'm using the 3 oz pushing weights on both poles.

That's a fine box of fish Scott! I also just got in 3 of the Southern Crappie Rods and rigged them up last night. Can't wait to get and use them come a few warm days in February and then the entire week of Spring Break.

The first pretty day since the boat was fixed and I have to be having my toe operated on. Nice catch partner.

It was a nice morning after the fog burnt off. Steve had foot surgery this morning so I had to suffer all by myself. Lol He'll be back at it soon though.

I talked to Ed about them before Christmas and saw them on the site a couple days ago. Hard to beat his rods for any price. I'm going to have a set before serious cranking time.

Just got off the phone with Ed and ordered a set of 16's. Have never used his rods, but after seeing all the good reviews on here I thought I would give them a try. Might have to order a set of 14's if I like the 16's. Have never used 16's, but want to try them for shallow water.
