    Default New Tony Edgar Rods

Has anyone fished these yet? They difference between these and the original Tony Troller is as follows:

    1. Stiffer backbone
    2. Flared butt end
    3. 2 foot depth markers all down the rod.
    4. Reel seat is moved forward 3 inches

Wondering if they are worth the extra or should I keep things all the same.

I've got the older ozarks. Ran into a sale and got most of them around 40 bucks. Then picked up a few more for 60, Same place now sells them for 77. Really good rods, especially when using heavier weights. I'd bet the new ones are terrific but I personally would not spend that kind of money again, too many good rods a lot cheaper. If you really want em and have the cash, go for it. Only you know how big the itch is. Heck, I bet half the folks driving ranger boats really couldn't afford them.
