Good ?? I was thinking about trying it for a few hours in the morning before my son goes to work.
Biggest crappie to date is 3 lb 9 oz at grenada in 1988. Still hangs on my wall.

I went Monday mainly to shake the cobwebs off my boat. Single pole fished 10am-2pm around a thousand trees. Not one bite. Ended up catching two striped bass drifting in open water---not my kind of fishing. Only a couple boats out and all were trolling it appeared to me. Just hard for me to believe all the fish leave all the dead trees during the summer. Fished jig only. Maybe a minnow would have worked. But judging by the lack of boats, I doubt it. Weather was actually perfect. Slight breeze. Wasn't too hot to me. Up until I left at least.

Won't be any boats for awhile. Not till folks are whacking and stacking again.
