I'm ready for fall fishing.... This will be my first fall to be set up for spider rigging

I'm bout ready to store the cranks anyway. It's my least favorite way to catch em. It's fun, puts meat in the freezer, and beats not fishing in the summer, but I like other techniques better.

ME TOO! Ive enjoyed catching them on cranks this summer...especially since its my first full year crappie fishing and first time trying it, but its my least favorite way to catch em....I cant wait to start back spider rigging for the fall....when does that usually take place? when is the typical transition period from cranking to spider rigging again? water temp? time of year?

You can catch em spider rigging year round. That's all I used to do.

I was just about to throw in the towel and by a bunch of cranks but Saturday may have saved me till next year.

Great day for sure. And hey, you don't have to answer to anyone or ever feel bad for what you catch and keep legally!

I have never been greedy when it comes to fish partly due to the fact I dont like to clean a bunch at one time and I can go once or twice a week and catch a mess to eat on any way. dont get me wrong I'm not saying anything in any way how others choose to do with theirs.
