Fished for 4 hours. 2 keepers. 6 throwbacks. 8 white bass. 2 catfish. About same outcome last 2 weekends. No way I would travel any more than 5 miles to crappie fish sardis for the next few years. Going to be a catfish fishing summer.
HOTROD FISHING
We were looking at real estate after work yesterday and stopped at Holiday Lodge for dinner. Talking with the owner, he said they had a horrible spring with the rentals. Folks might catch 3 or four fish a day. Where as they might come in and stay two weeks this year with the poor fishing they left for back north after a couple days and a qt bag of filets.

Haven't been on here in a couple of weeks and guess what... NOTHING has changed. Still the same ol' whining and complaining! Next time I come to the Sip I'll bring a bunch of Pasifiers and leave at the ramps. Everyone remember this thread in a few weeks when the temps get good and hot and the boats are being filled. Hotrod if I was you I'd just stay home and use those fingers for typing your sad stories!!!
Damn that was gonna be one of my summer trips too might have to rethink it
Don't think so "couch" I enjoy going to the lake every weekend with my wife and enjoy being on Sardis lake. Its not sad stories its a honest report of my catch for that day. Just giving folks a heads up on whats going on before they plan a trip and try sardis. Reason why your hearing the same old crybaby stories is because this is the shape of this lake. Regardless I will go every weekend and really don't care if I only catch 2-3. So come on down and get your boat load. All we need is a couple for supper.
scappalappa LIKED above post
Knowing my wife it won't matter much. Me and my uncle got skunked plenty of times so I'll probably still go to Sardis a couple times this summer.
Dead Sea for Crappie despite what others will lead you to believe
