I agree the fish limit is all that is necessary. Sardis has had the 3 pole limit for a few years and still too many fish were removed because of the total amount of people fishing and the limit too high for that many folks fishing.

Bump!!!!
I like it. They keep this pace up and before you know it, i might be able to catch a limit.
Wannabe...
So, what finally happened? Do we know yet?
I really don't have a dog in this fight but I will say that the folks making these rules have a lot more knowledge in this area than I do. I live in Arkansas and fish Mississippi and whatever the rules are my boat will abide by them. I just hope it does not affect the guides of the big four because we all need to pay our bills.
I think the guides are more affected if they can't catch fish, not how many the client can keep.
New regs will go into effect 1 month from today most likely, depends on when they get filed with the Sec of State's Office, may be one month from tomorrow.
3 poles per person on all the Big 4, 15 fish limit per person with a 40 per boat limit, and 12 inch minimum length on all four lakes. Makes everything uniform across the board for all 4.
