We ran out of the storms on the way back towards Tupelo and decided to stop at lake Lamar Bruce. We fished a couple of hours and caught 3 10 inch crappie which were actually pretty thick. Then got drowned by another storm. Waited it out and finished the rest of the day with only 6 fish. Don't know if I've ever been through so much for six fish in my life. But at least I was fishing. Got too wet to take anymore pics.
Biggest crappie to date is 3 lb 9 oz at grenada in 1988. Still hangs on my wall.

This pic was during storm at Lamar Bruce. Lighting got pretty bad and we had to tie boat to the dock and abandon ship.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1432176636.884848.jpg

Sometimes the worst fishing trips are the ones most remembered. A bad day fishing is better than not fishing at all. I have had pretty days that I didn't catch 6 fish. The most important thing is having fun and being safe. You did the right thing abandoning ship when the weather got bad. Good luck on your next fishing trip maybe you will load the boat with crappie.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Thanks for your help. I'm going back there pretty soon and maybe it won't be storming and we will have better luck. We couldn't even get one off of the josh pond levee.
