They are just now getting ready at Arkabutla. If the dang water will settle down. Boy it was windy there today. I bet Sardis was plain rolling.

I have a feeling Butla is on the back side of the spawn. I have caught good numbers of fish (for Butla) on certain brush piles. The fish being big females with eggs oozing out and dark black males all in one brush pile. I was on this pattern for about 7 days two weeks ago. Yes there is new water now and hopefully it is not over yet. Just gotta stay on em...who knows. My 2 cents
Leave them Butla fish alone for a few more years. Be back to PIG city again!!!
ill still fish.....regardless. be glad when its done and things can quiet down.
Sardis was blowing/going 6 weeks ago . Seems like the last few years that they spawn in waves . Been three times caught 15, 12, 0 in that order . go figure .I would say the 0 day was a bit of a stretch even to be there . was the old man and the sea , actually the chocolate sea .
Fished Enid and Grenada and Arkabuta last Friday and Saturday, Todd and I caught total of
16 keepers, no keepers at Butla but had a lot of bites from mosquitos.
