Good story. Thanks for sharing. I've only been up there once and it was to chase those monster breams. I didn't catch anything that scared me (no monsters) but they were some nice ones for sure. Glad you got your supper rounded up.

Havent posted in a while but thought I'd share my day. I Havent been fishing all year and was in town this week so I took the day off. Was gonna go over to Pickwick to chase stripes, but they forecast 4 or more generators open today ,so that was scrapped(too much current). Was gonna go down to Sardis and watch everybody else catch fish(that's what I usually do when I go to sardis) but was skeered the wind would pick up...so I decided to go to Tippah county lake. I've never been there so it was kinda hunt a peck. First hook this morning I hung a blue cat that was right around 10 lbs on my crappie pole...got him right to the boat and he decided he wasnt coming in and broke my line right at the boat and that got my blood pumping. I didnt really know where to go so I pretty much ran the whole shoreline and picked up enough for supper. Bite was slow, but was sure good to get out and get a hook wet. Talked to a couple of folks that were braggin on the bream at this lake and that got my attention. I think I'm gonna have to try it on a full moon when it comes up. The crappie werent monsters but were sure fun to catch.![]()
