Hello,new member here. Great report. I have been fishing that lake for 23 years and know it can be very good at times. How does the water look after all this rain? I live about 116 miles from the landing so I try to make sure it is right before I drive that distance.
The river was a little high and had some pretty good current, too much to fish as matter of fact, back in the old lakes and sloughs the water was a bit more stable, that's where I caught these, don't know how much rain is coming this week so I don't know what it will be like this weekend, hope this helps ya out some. Btw you said 116 miles? Where do you live? Ms or Alabama?Quote:

I live due south on hwy 17 not far from Ms. I believe I have seen you at Gainesville before. If you see a guy in a panfish 16 stick steering it's probably me. I do a lot of trolling and bank fishing.
