I hike the lakes all the time in the winter when its low and mark hundreds of stake beds and tree tops. Its a ton of work on foot. Usually a six mile hike every time. There are plenty of spots out there for everyone. I put a few small spots out for myself so i can wade and fish were people cant get to and watch the water levels like a hawk. You learn a lot about the topography this way. If i had four wheel it would be easy to put beds out. It would be easy if i had a boat too. I always try to make it to the habitat days but it always seem to be busy. I still manage to catch plenty of slabs and i put a lot of leg work in scouting.
