Sure was nice out on the water for the first time this year. This trip was mostly a boat shakedown trip but i thought i would wet a line or 2 while i was there for a couple of hours.
The water temp was 48. I was trying some structure(cover) i found. They seemed to be holding tight to it.

Nice catch Joey. I fish Archusa lake in Quitman,Ms. Good to know some people here on Crappie.com that live and fish close by. Good catch for this time of year as we have had some pretty unusual weather this year. Nice pictures, thanks for sharing the sonar one it helps to show what to look for on a sonar. I will be watching for your posts. I like to see what, when, and how crappie are biting close to my area here in Mississippi. Be safe and good luck fishing

That looks like the structure I saw the fisheries and parks putting out on Saturday. I bet it was somewhere on the East side of lake between island and bridge. Nice fish!

That was actually on creek channel next to twitley branch campground-about 30 yds from the bank where the creek comes real close to the bank

Im glad to hear that they are putting out some structure-i just hope they place some in some deeper water.....

Nice catch, Joey. I always like to see somebody catching fish even if I'm not! Joey, what model is that H'bird you're running? I like that unit!
