    Default Brush Pile location??

I dropped these trees over the weekend and im just curious as to where they are at exactly....i marked them with my gps and i can pull over these spots and it shows up on my graph....but my question is....according to the picture...whenever my boat slowly skims over the trees and they start showing on my graph just like in the picture....are they now directly under my boat? just wondering so ill know when and where to drop my mark bouy when fishing...

Just me, but I try to drop a marker just after I cross over structure. Not on top of it. I know where it is and don't want to disturb fish or risk getting tangled in marker line. That way if casting you can back off and cast to it or rigging you can ease baits up to it with crossing over with boat.

Is the transducer on the front or back, if front it will be directly under you, if back, you already passed over it

with that transducer, it will be under the rear of the boat. I like to run my TM ducer when jigging brush. Like cray said, drop a marker and you won't have to guess.

Mine is on the back of my boat and I always struggle with this issue. It is behind me but with the spread of the cone and depending on the depth it sometimes can really be just anywhere in a fairly wide area.

I can only tell you how I do it. My console unit has the TD on the transom. I'm easing along and a pile shows up on the graph. I wait til the pile is gone and throw a marker back over my head, or to the upwind side if I think of it. Continue on and slowly and quietly come back upwind to the target. If it is with my TM unit, the TD is right in front of me and I throw a marker upwind and take the foot off the TM and wait for the wind to blow me off of it and approach as I see best. Once you have a bunch of tracks on the GPS you can then collect the marker and work back to the mark. This gets easier after you do it for a while. I try not to leave markers out on busy days as they become boat attractors.
