I'm a newbie to crappie fishing, only crappie ive ever caught have been wading tellytubba creek at sardis in spring time, with that being said catching those slabs this spring have me hooked!!! I didnt fish this summer at all for crappie as Ive never trolled for them or spider rigged or whatever yall call it lol. Could anyone give me any insight on what kind of patterns crappie usually have in the fall say late sept through november? I may be asking a completely dumb question just curious if they get shallow again in the fall kind of like the bass do on pickwick and bay springs when they fuel up for the winter.
any advice and tips would be great. I will be on sardis and bay springs this fall.

Good to have you on board. They won't be on the banks like they are in the Spring, you will catch them in four to twelve foot of water. Depending on water clarity. When it gets really cold they will go deep again.
Tell'em I'll be there.
Welcome!
