I've been on the forum for less than a year and have gleaned a load of information off these fellers. Never failed to have several answers to questions on my posts and have even had several fellers pm me to answer my questions directly. Even had some guys go as far as to help me on general locations. There are good guys on here that are more than willing to give good advice. If anyone's had a bad experience I'd urge them to give it a little time.
two things on here make me want to comment. I've been getting on this website for roughly a year and reading mostly missouri, mississippi, and kentucky threads. taking my limited crappie fishing knowledge reading what ppl like Ree and speck post and many others from across these states i have built on that knowledge and turned it into boatloads of more success. i rarely post bc i feel i learn more w my ears and my eyes than i do with my mouth. i dont think ive made 10 posts on here but i guarantee i read 50 posts a week.
second of all the whole out of state, in state thing gets so old it makes me wanna puke. ive been to the great state of ms about 3 times this year and everytime I'm about to go back I'm like a little kid on christmas morn. i feel its one of the prettiest states ive been too and i hope to retire and move there one day. ppl are always very helpful and friendly and ive never gotten a sour word from one person in all the years I've been going. my grandpa retired here and moved there for aprox 25 yrs or so, always single pole fished and lived at watervalley, made a lot of friends in his years there as well. he always tells me the same story about his buddy that complained about us mo folks cleaning out the lakes. i knew this man he was a very nice guy and good fisherman and back when the limit was 50 he wasn't that aposed to getting him a couple limits if his mood was right for it. he'd also make a trip to missouri every spring to kill turkeys, but that was ok as long as he did it.
guess what im saying is don't throw stones on here we are all here to learn from one another and talk about what we love and that's fishing and hunting and just the outdoors in general. good luck to you all keep your lines tight
Just gotta say I fish in the sippi waters and have a blast. I don't post a lot on the sippi board. I found the best reports are just having good folks behind the scenes to help ya out by pm. I understand about publicly posting the lakes when ya fish all the time. Most folks are more than willing to help ya out just pm is a better way to do it. I have made a lot of great friends from the forum and look forward to making more in the future.
I take what I read in a form with a grain of salt. Who's to say they are giving you truthful info to catch more fish just remember specifics from years passed. I personally won't post specifics on where I caught cause the spots get over run quick. I can tell you this it's been 4 years since I went full out after them sac-a-lait and I'm gonna give them heck

I read those all the time. The only issue it is the exact same report for Enid and Sardis, and mostly the same for Arkabutla.
The bait shop reports in the Commercial Appeal always made me laugh.
Crappie are hitting on jigs tipped with minnows. ( always tipped with minnows)
Catfish on night crawlers.
Here's the best report and advice. The fish eat everyday. If you have time to go, go. Life's too short. I don't catch em everytime , but half the fun is planning a strategy. Start you a log book with dates, water level, current and previous weeks weather, and water clarity. Do this everytime you go for 5 years and you won't need a report again. You'll have a good idea of what's happening at the lake.
