    Default Sardis Slowdown

Fished Sardis today (5/10) and I could not find them. Caught one 11 1/2 inch crappie and a few miniature slimers. The lake was pretty much a ghost town for fishermen. I was trolling crankbaits. The water was 74 - 78. I fished from 12 to 30 feet and from within Clear Creek all the way across to Buford Ridge. Last weekend I caught 7 trolling cranks and I figured it would have been better today. It was a beautiful day to be out on the water though.

I say 13" and up. I haven't been in a couple weeks. Been resting up from wading the last 3 months. Letting em transition to where I like catching them. The reports will be coming soon enough. But if people want to know what the fish are doing go fishing. Don't read on the Internet and think your gonna limit out every trip. You got to go weekly monthly and yearly trial and error is your friend gotta learn from it.

Exactly. I'll never understand people getting on here "bragging" about their catch. I've been fishing Sardis for 30 years , and I can tell you without a doubt there is more pressure now than ever. The more you brag the more show up to fish. There has always been out of staters and that's fine, hell I am one for the time being. Point is there is plenty to go around if you keep it to yourself. Keep bragging and the lines at the ramps will get worse, every stump will have a boat on it, and you'll be able to walk across the water jumping from boat to boat.

Of course the "guides" and the bait shops want you to keep on bragging.
