Should have check this out when I was home. Can you rent a cabin somewhere in the middle of the big 4 about the same drive to the
4?
Look like I saw some off 55 going back to Grenada From Enid.

Around Enid would be centrally located, a State Park cabin at Cossar puts you rite in the middle. The cabins out on 55 at Oakland has had some booking problems, like double booked and folks get here and have no where to stay, has happened several times this spring.

For what you are wanting to do you could buy a decent camper and store it down here and use the campsite at Persimmon Hill, its very nice.
