I vote they open a dynamite season, and then drain the lake and let me catch em with a net, gig, and bowfishing equipment. And only I can fish the lakes.

Ok,boys and girls, now I think the spawn is about over. Caught them early today and went back to places that we caught them shallow and could not get a bite. At least 3/4 over with and I caught some fish this afternoon back out on 8-10 fow, looked like spawned out females. I mean them suckers got in there and done their business and got out of dodge in a hurry.
From what I was told , it was as good as it could possibly be in the grass 2' or less the last 3 days. Nothing this afternoon.
When spawn is delayed like it was this year that's what happens. They all run up and do it in 5 days or so then it's over.
Shallow fish are very spooky, we backed off nd did some casting with spinning reels and caught some nice females. Fished deep in the afternoon and caught some spawned out females and lots of males.
