Okay so my in laws have a cabin at bear creek in pickwick but I have no clue as how to crappie fish here I don't troll boat is just not set up for it so single poling is my option. Any help would be appreciated. If I can't figure this out looks like I'll be headed to Sardis in the morning!!

Go to the area just outside the Mill Creek marina…you'll see where the boats are. If I was single poling I'd hit bank just north of the marina…it's a long stretch that runs out then turns north toward the river. Lots of fish there and it runs parallel to the channel in a lot of spots.

Try casting a spinning reel with 1/8 oz jig boat docks, stumps any visible structure or simply run your trolling motor and drag the jig behind the boat in the area where all the boats will be.

Dhdr24 we have a secluded boat dock and I can usually catch a limit there but the gravel has washed under the bridge so bad fish haven't been able to move in so I'm trying to explore new parts of the lake. Thanks for the info haven't tried a casting reel

Well I would have agreed with you ambush with my experiences up there but a fella showed me the light today I didn't catch any myself but was showed fish that came out of areas I had fished I guess I wasn't holding my mouth right! Just a FYI this is only my second year fishing by myself in my own boat so I'm a little spoiled

I may have a seat open in my boat next week. If your able to fish your welcome to go. Not going to say I can catch anything as I have not been side pulling long. But hope to catch some tomorrow and Saturday if the winds will allow me to fish around Mill creek.
