    Default gnats are for real!

Hey guys,, just wanted to say that's to whoever designed crappie gnats,,,, I picked up a few packs at the dam store yesterday and headed to sardis,,,, I tried every freaking thing in my box as for color combinations and jigs head assortments and fished seemingly for hours before I got my first hit??? It lasted maybe 10 seconds and the fish got off right at the boat,,, the dang trailer hook untied and that 3 lb crappie just swan off without losing a stroke,,,lol,,,,,, anyway,,,, that was using Freelays method of colors and trailer hook combo, Just didn't seem to be the right color... so I remember the 3 packs of Gnats I picked up and decided to give the Old gnats a try,,,, n tie on for all 3 poles and before I had pole # 3 tied and ready to fish,mm My number 2 pole has a fish on,,,, so I bring that lovely 15" crappie in and drop her back in the water with a fresh minnow and whammy,,,, fish number 2 is on! It was around 4pm and fish were starting to bite for me all of a sudden,,,, I caught 2 more fish , including one really nice hybred striper and n headed in because of the high winds and severe sunburn on my face!!!a so all in all,,, 4 fish within 1 hours time proves Gnats are da bomb baby,,,, I will be buying an entire color selection as soon as I recover from my Butt whopping I got from the past several fishing days at Sardis over the last several weeks,,, so watch out Mr crappie,,,,, I will be packing gnats next time we meet!

These gnats are crappie catching machines. I don't fish without them anymore!!!

I see. It's a trolling thing. Not for jig fishing.

I use them just like I would a minnow hook. I have some trolling rigs made up with them and I have some still loose in my tackle box that I will tie on and fish under a bobber if I'm not trolling.

Matter of fact, I caught some tcounty crappie on one last week fishing it under a bobber with a minnow out at Geln Springs.
    I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.
