Floods? Lake Levels?

Interesting. I wonder how this will pan out for the lake levels. Looks like they're trying to draw them all down now as fast as they can while they have a chance. It'll be interesting to see when they'll have to start holding back. Could make for a interesting year.

I'll bet that there will be big water on the Mississippi.

With all the ice and snow this winter it can't help but flood especially if we have any rain to speak off at the same time the melt starts. How bad is going to depend a lot on how fast it warms up north this spring. If it warms real quick it could be really bad especially north of us.

Actually, Grenada has been on a very slow rise all week, and is still a couple of feet above guide rule curve.

Wonder why they let one rise and the others on the draw down if all are above rule? That got all that figured out pretty good. Amazing how they can predict river stages. All that fancy math I hated back in school I guess.

Looking at the charts, Enid and Butla are rising slow as well this week...only Sardis is on a very slow fall.

Yeah. You're right. I'm sure they got it all figured out. I don't mind them going either way really as long as they don't go one way or the other too fast. But I like 252 or better at Sardis.

My thoughts on having a rule curve is its in place to prevent flooding. Why there not getting it down to curve these last few months is crazy.

Just my guess. As soon as they begin to see a melt up north those in the know will most likely want to open the gates wide.
