Hello,
I am a new member from IL and I am pretty inexperienced when it comes to crappie fishing. I don't know if any of you live around Wiggins but I will be there this Friday, Saturday and Sunday for my son's college baseball games. My mornings are free and I would love to hook up with anyone wanting to teach a new guy about the ins and outs of crappie fishing. PM me if you have time to do a little fishing.

Welcome on board . I know there are few that far south that maybe able to help . I am in jackson area still 100 miles north of where you will be . There was someone just last week caught some from down there somewhere around hattiesburg . Maybe they will holler . Welcome again .
CATCH THEM ALL.
Down on that end of the state you were getting pretty for away from most of the crappie fishermen. Most of the lakes and rivers that produce big crappie are north of I 20. Little Black Creek waterpark in Purvis Mississippi is not far from Wiggins and has a decent population of crappie. Sorry, but I do not know anyone on the forum that is from the area

Guys thanks for the replies. Looking at the map it doesn't appear there are a lot of big lakes close to Wiggins. Hopefully, I will get lucky and someone will be close by.
Redbird,
You did not look very close at the map, there is a 600acre lake (flint creek rez) right in the middle of town and a 400-500 acre lake (Paul B Johnson) about 15 miles north of town. I cant help you with the fishing, but the lakes are there.
