If he's going to catch his share, why even ask the question. Of course , you can each keep a limit. Are you asking if you can sit up front and man his poles ?

It is written into the regs. That is what amazed me when I first read it. The total limit for three in one boat is less than the total for two people in one boat and one in another. How smart is that?

I was refering to the issue of keeping each person's limit in a different cooler. I never bring more than one fish cooler. I've just gone through the entire document linked below and I do not see anything stating that each person's limit must be kept separate.

If me and a budy are fishing Sardis and I get a ticket for having 21 in the cooler and 6 or more of the fish are my buddy's and thats the only cooler and the only fish in the boat, I'm going to court and fighting the ticket. Dont see how a judge can enforce something that aint on the books.

They don't check that close. But they are watching. All you need is 1 cooler.
