Got caught in 90 MPH straight line winds on Sardis a few years back. Was not fun and try to not be on the water in these storms after that. But we did plow new channels east of the Indian mound boat ramp.:yikes

I was on Sardis that day. Most amazing storm I've ever seen wind wise. Had it not been for someone calling me from home watching it on TV I'd probably for sure been sunk. Barely made it back to the boat ramp and all I could do was run it up on the bank as fast as I could and hop out. I've never seen the wind pick up so fast and hard as that day. Cell phones sure help out these days keeping track on the lake. If a chance of storms, I'm checking mine all day just to make sure of no repeat!
