Back in the day, bout 25-30 yrs ago, I once fished the lower lake with my B- I-L, and Lori. We ran 30 poles in a 1648 Duracraft Jon boat. Had 11 on the front, 11 on the back and 4 off each side. It was windy as heck out there, and 5 minutes after we rigged every pole with two jigs, the TM quit and we hit the swimming barrier rope and tangled every danged pole. We never used the side poles like that again. It was a Cluster!!!!! :-)

Yes, if you head for the below weir boat ramp you will cross a bridge with barriers. That is the gate, it dumps water into spaulding creek. It's kinda deep below the gate. Good bank fishing there sometimes. I haven't ever asked, but believe you are back into state limit of 10" fish.
