Ask the folks that fished Sardis 2 years ago, bet they will say you can. Just the nature of the beast.

I am just using fall numbers on the big four. Three years ago we were keeping very low numbers compaired to what we caught. Two years ago we averaged twenty-seven per trip. Last year we averaged fourteen per trip. With the spawn and water still in the coffee bean stalks we should have a bumper year in twenty-fifteen or sixteen. I am looking for this year to be like three years ago. Can we fish out our keeper fish as big as these reserviors are?

My average for 2013 was 15 per (alot by myself) i went 26 times and 96% of the trips were on Sardis
Very few throw backs the whole year.
I only fish and speak of sardis. When it changed from 10" to 12" of course the catch vs keeper ratio went way up on the catch side. During this transition the fish had to catch up in size. When they finally did the size went from 12" to 11" so of course the keeper vs catch ratio went high on the keeper size. I believe they've had some good spawns these last few years except the year of the drought and die off. I don't see any change the next few years in numbers I hope not anyway. They spawn on the entire shoreline and I mean entire. Each female lays like 50000 eggs or so if I remember right. Only time will tell on spawn vs anglers. If this year tanks it's on over fishing. If not there holding there own ground.
The best fall I ever had was 3 years ago on Grenada, the following spring was dang hard to beat also.

Those lakes are all fished out.... just give it up boys :-) :-) :-)
I'll give it up when Iam 6 foot under.
Hotrod you are kidding yourself big time if you dont expect to see any change in numbers at Sardis this year....... numbers WILL BE way down compared to what was caught last year.
I can only hope that they will stay up in numbers. Won't know till we try em. Last year was one to remember. Got my fingers crossed.
Well, you guys know I'm not from down here, But in Michigan where I live we had a lake with very nice fish and good fishing. Soon people came from all over and started fishing this lake. Everyone had to take a "Limit" and they fished till they dot it. This went on for a couple years or more. Now if you go to that lake you are lucky to get a couple keeps in a days time, You guys have awesome fishing here on Sardis. I don't know about the other 3. I feel like this, no lake can stand constant pressure and hundreds of boats taking a "limit every time out. Save a few for next time. Just sayi'n. Thanks
