Lake Eddins

My wife's family is from Pachuta and we spend a lot of time down there visiting so I decided to buy a lot on Lake Eddins so we/I could have a place to fish when we visited. Have any of yall ever fished it?

I have not fished it but I know people who do. From what I've heard, it's probably the best lake anywhere near that area of the state. It has huge bass, big shell crackers and blue bream, and plentiful crappie in the 1-2 lb range, maybe even bigger. I know a couple guys who really catch a lot of them mid summer under lights at night. I think you just bought a little piece of paradise, and would love to fish it with you someday, hint, hint!

That is a paradise. I know at one time Bill Dance and Paul Elias had houses there. Wallace Eddins built the lake right plus the black soil in that area is very fertile.

I told that Elias engineered the lake as far as bottom contour. My preachers father use to have a cabin down there and I went with him some. Elias was next door. All I wanted to do was sit on the lake poach and fish for bream. Never fished there for bass, did a little crappie fishing from a boat but not much luck. I know there are some big bass and bream in the lake but the crappie I don't know much about. Elias left a lot of trees in the lake.

Here is the reason I bought the lot

I have a friend that knows several people with lots and he invited me out there to fish after one of our dove hunts. We caught nothing but monsters. Since then the friend that has the lot has invited us to fish from his pier and this is what we bring out every single time


I spend so much time at my in laws visiting I figured this would be a good investment and my wife and I plan on retiring to Pachuta anyway.

That's some awsome pics, congrats on the 3.25. I sell the Village of Pachuta supplies and chemicals for maintaining their water system, and have often thought it would be a great little retirement area.
