16' b&m capps&coleman vs pst

Looking to buy a set. But not sure which to get. I'm sure both are great rods. Just want some opinions. Mainly b using double minnow rigs. 1/2 oz to 3/4 oz. Curious on action and stiffness. Weight don't matter much. What do u guys think?

I like the B&M Capps & Coleman's better than any of the rods I've owned. I troll eight and have three complete spares and three extra tips. I've never broken one but I'm sure I will. Mine are 122s not 16s.

Started with b/m ps but have switched to ozark 14 ft . Pst are fine i ,like you use 1/2-3/4 wts. Manily and a little less stiff tip suits me better .

I won't count out the bgjp rods either. Really wanting to go 16'. Can I ask y u like the 14s better?

The Capps and Coleman rods are kinda a middle of the road in reference to stiffness. The PST's are going to be a very stiff tip rod. My partner and I use the BGJP model in all our tournament fishing. One good thing about BnM is they make a rod model that will fit any style of fishing, from crankbaits to side pulling to single pole style. We generally use 1/2 or less weight when we use a double hook minnow rig. Any of the above mentioned models would be great trolling rods. It just depends on how much bend you want to see in your rod tip while fishing.

I have had the PST's and Ozarks.....I like the ozarks better. Not sure how they compare to the Capps. Unless your fishing out of a smaller boat, I would go 16's the first go around, and you will be satisfied.

I have a full set of 14' PST's and C&C's also. Prefer the C&C's for durability and seeing the lightest bite. I use my PST's for guiding since they are stiffer and easier for the beginner or novice angler to use.

I have a 16 foot set of both models you mentioned and enjoy both. The 16' C&C's take some getting use to and not recommended for beginners because of the action. Also, you may want to make sure your dip net has a long pole if you fish alone very much when using 16's.
