I use orange jig head mostly. Sardis White/Chartreuse and Blue/Chartreuse bodies are hard to beat. I'm a big fan of Mid-South tackle and get the super jigs. People make a big deal out of the size but if you check out some of the shad crappie eat, I guarantee they suck up a lot bigger than any jig you'll buy. JMO.

Lead head sickle 1/8 no color. Orange/Chart jig.= Thump!!!
I always try orange and Chart stuff. I've done good on brown ( Punkin seed) and chart also.
BTW, I use Southern Pro tubes, and really like the BIG Capps and Coleman glow stuff. I've tried em all tho. If you have the right color combo, the brand probably doesn't matter so much. They all make good tubes.
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.

Tipped with a minner helps all of them.
I know there are folks, used to be one of them, that say "if they can be caught I can catch em without a minner."
I have never seen jigs out fish minners, seen it when it was pretty much the same but I have seen time and time again when a minner would catch when a straight jig wouldn't. I also realise that there a places its a lot easier to fish straight jigs as well.
