Installing a CMC PT-35
Later this week I'm going to attempt to install my new CMC PT-35 on my 1442 F&F boat. My boat has a cut down transom for my short shaft 25hp Etec. I've read a lot of old threads concerning this topic. I guess I'm looking for a few more pointers or advice from the guys on here who have installed a cmc on their rig. Shortcuts or helpful tips will be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

I put a pt 130 on my 1542 with a 25 and I'd say measure a couple times before you put it on. It would be best to have some good clamps and a partner to check the engine height. It's hard to find the perfect mounting height but I had to drill new holes in the cmc to bring it up some. My cavitation plate sits about 2" higher than the bottom of the boat. I would also make sure to bolt the motor to the bracket along with the transom clamps. I'm also not sure how much lighter the pt 35s are but I would be even more careful loading and unloading the boat with the short transom. Don't ask me how I know. Ha. I bought mine used so I wasn't worried about the warranty but the relays have been known to get wet and go out so out so I cut them off and used a winch contactor instead. I also hated the switch that came with it, i wanted it mounted on my tiller and could never tell of i was going up or down so I switched it out for this one http://www.magemarinestore.com/trbusw.html

I have a 130 on my tracker. I have never had a problem with the unit period. I did however drill some new holes so I could play with the engine height. As said before, measure twice and have an extra pair of hands around to help.
