Default Quarter of an inch shy of our first double limit

Had to work for a couple hours this morning so it was 9am when we got on the lake. We fished hard, ate lunch on a sraight troll. about 6pm I started counting fish I thought we had 28 but didn't want to chance it. So I fished them out of the live well turned into ice bin and strung them up. The count was 28! My wife and I could make 30 easy, we thought. As we were coming down the best part of the pass, wife ask, "Why is that outside line so slack" ?

Long story short, 4 out of our 5 lines were co-mingled with each other tighter than the crowds at Woodstock in the mud. I looked back knowing I wasn't up to respooling line on 80% of our rods with dusk approaching.

It was a mess...and then some. I told her just hand line the mess in and get our bandits back then cut everything and we'll call it a day.

A few minutes later she throws over a crappie in the boat. Surprised I take it off the hooks cut the bandit off the gordian knott of mono. I slide the fish in to measure and it is legal. Number 29 ! About a minute later shes has another one to the boat. It measures a sqoosh under 11" at the V in the tale. So close.

If someone would kindly tell me how to post pics to THIS thread I have some pretty awesome fish pics. Two of the fish wouldn't even start to go in the measurer. ds

Nice day. Glad you got to experience a good crank bait tangle. It will not be the last.

G, do not see a "square looking icon" at top of Quick Reply Box that allows attachments. How do you get back to computer files for adding pics in a New Post?

Look at the right side of the row of icons and symbols.......its the fourth one back towards the left.....when you put your curser on it it will say insert image....click on it, then click from computer.....then click select files.....this will take you to your computer files............go to your picture file.....select your pic....click on it, click open, click upload.....then click save or submit.
