I actually agree with you on avoiding the throngs. To me there isn't anything more satisfying than finding your own fish, and there isn't anything much less satisfying than fishing someone else's fish. And you are dead right on the seasonal patterns, you learn that stuff and you will be able to find them yourself most of the time.

Anybody can catch a limit on sardis right now. I even think you could single pole the timber and catch a limit. They may not be hawgs but they will be keepers, we caught fish every were we went so just go feeshing and have a good time
